At the start, i appologize for another topic on this issue.

I bought the game on monday, and i was not able to launch it properly yet. Every launch i have the BSOD with music and sometimes even with the cursor:). It gives crash report added bellow. Firstly i read alot of topics about it, mostly advicing of changing some things in the AMC Catalyst Control center (all done), updating drivers to latest (all done), install the directx 9 (yep), i checked the port forwarding for the certain ports, i set off the SPI firewal in the router, DMZ, and the things fith the local.dat. In this case, i even got the file from friend of mine with the lowest graphical settings and i got at least to character creation page (after creating my char, game disconected, and i can not log again). No overheating, overclock etc… GW2 is the only game having troubles on my PC (i can run most the novadays games). Currently, i am going to try to connect to the game with direct connect to the router (for now, i am only wireless).

Is there something i missed or forgott?

Hi Vlk Fenris – Sounds like you’ve tried just about everything at this point. I checked out your ArenaNet.log file and this in particular caught my attention:

  • Crash <—*
    Exception: c00000fd
    App: Gw2.exe
    Pid: 3148
    Cmdline:
    BaseAddr: 00400000
    ProgramId: 101
    Build: 16845
    Module: GvOsd.dll

The Module here points to “GvOsd.dll” which belongs to Gigabyte Technology. Unfortunately this is a little vague here because it doesn’t point to anything else specifically, though this may be a driver issue with your hardware, or hardware related. This is the most prevalent error message in your crash report and very likely the cause of the issue that you’re experiencing.

At this point if you’d like for us to better look into it one on one with you, I’d recommend creating a technical support ticket and including a Game Advisor report in your response.
The sticky thread below should give you some more info in regards to creating support tickets:

Glad to hear you were able to narrow down the cause of the issue!
