Black Screen Issue need help

I recently bought GW2, and instantly after installing it, I was faced with the famous “Black Screen” problem, where after around 5 to 10 minutes of playing, the screen turns black, and all I can see is my cursor, and all I can hear is the background music. Nothing else wrong with the computer, I can alt + tab out of it, and everything still works fine… but I have to close GW2 and restart it to get it working again.
Apparently, it’s fairly common. So of course, I found many fixes for it.
But, sad thing is, none of them worked.
What I tried:
Disable Firewall
NVIDIA Anti-aliasing – Mode -> Application controlled
NVIDIA Gamma correction -> Off
Reflection -> off
Deleted guildwars cache file
Deleted Local.dat
Turned graphics down

Can anyone help?
I don’t want my experience playing Guild Wars 2 ending in 1 day of getting frustrated at game problems…

It’s been 6 months since this problem became known, so I’m hoping there’s a fix that works by now?

Hi there,

Are you behind a router at all? If so, have you tried simply bypassing the router and connecting directly to your modem via Ethernet cable? If you’ve got a modem/router combo, you might want to try disabling your SPI Firewall.

Hope this helps!
