I just put in all my details to get 4000 gems, got to the confirm screen, then it just said error! what the hell is this? has it taken my money?!

As explained, no one in the forum can help kitten or resolve this issue. Please contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist you.
