So, I had one of my characters join Durmand Priory, because I had every intention of exploring the personal story possibilities of all 3 Orders. I’ve just recently learned that there is a jumping puzzle in the personal storyline for the Priory.
What I’d like to know is if it’s possible to avoid this puzzle? Is there some other choice to make where you can do something else, or not be directed to the puzzle?
I’m really, really bad at jumping, much less jumping puzzles. The reason for this is not just because I’m clumsy and this is something I could practice at or persist at until I succeed. I have a fear of heights, or more accurately, a fear of falling. I simply cannot do jumping puzzles. Even vistas are incredibly difficult and challenging for me if I have to jump. Only the fact that they’re necessary for zone completion forces the completionist in me to do them. I hate that we’re forced to do them in order to finish the zones, and if they get any more difficult in later zones I won’t be able to do them.
Jumping puzzles, though, are completely impossible for me. Does this phobia mean that fully one third of the personal story in the game – the entire Durmand Priory story line – is something I am not able to experience because of this?
This makes me very sad and distressed. I have 11 characters, and none of them will be able to join the priory if this is true. In fact, one already has (as I stated at the beginning of this post), but it seems that I may have to delete them if there’s no possible way to avoid the jumping puzzle.
