To Anet,

Hi, Choboholic here from team [MFC]. I would like to make a public appeal for a team member Tinengy(wmjk.3196) and request A-net to re-as()sess* his account with regards to the usage of a 3rd party software. I do this on the request of my tpvp team leader and also as a friend. He has already went through support with the last response received on 7/23.

I have only meet him for 2 month and in that time from the idle banter and strategy discussion I had with him with my broken Chinese would suggest that he is an extremely passionate player with 7.2k AP(more then me!) and his interest to explore the game content resulted in me occasionally translating various in game task for him. From the pvp matches we had it is apparent that he does not care about losing nor his standing on the leader-board, so that cheating via macro is absolutely unfathomable.

For the past few week he has not been able to play much of the pve content becuase of his hectic study schedules and most of the time when he was online is to play Tpvp with the team in preparation of the current asian pacific tournament.

I can only think of few softwares which he could use in conjunction with guild wars 2 and not necessary interact with each other is a tunnelling service or proxy software to help with his connection as he was complaining the “large” amount of lag and game studder he was experiencing was unbearable and VOIP programs for our pvp matches and general banter.

I will claim that I do not have extensive knowledge in the field of computing. Henceforth my only correlation to his offence could be a result of hardware/memory corruption that might have manipulated the data A-net received because he was also experiencing “hardware failure” error.

I hope that the support team would give him another fair assessment. I don’t believe he would abuse or cheat because of his recent refusal to accept an account from our team leader shows that he have an emotional attachment to his account further reinforcing his shock when he was aware of the nature of the ban. I also believed that he would not be involve with any illegal activities as to compromise his standing during 1st Asia Pacific tournament.

I hope I did this right, since I’m also not confident with my english and is a 1st time poster. And also I miss him =[.

Thankyou,
Choboholic

edit:
-Apologies in advance if this appears to be a rant or have the appearance to incite public arousal, it was not my intention and only a request from the team leader.

Please post a single request in the Tickets for Review thread above (since the initial ticket is at least 3 days old). Support needs to speak directly with the account holder, not someone else, as pointed out by forum members. (Don’t worry about language barriers — I’m sure the team can work with whatever the account holder sends.)
