Hi.

I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 for a while now and during long sessions in the game, Guild Wars 2 crashes my PC. It is not a crash were the picture on the monitor freezes and the sound loops. It’s a crash were my primary monitor displays black and my secondary monitor displays either beige or white.

My temperatures are more than reasonable. The CPU is never more than 40°C and the GPU is always around 60°C. I play with the highest settings at a constant 60fps.

A friend in-game says his PC often crashes while playing Guild Wars 2. Is this a common thing then?

I thought I’d post my PC specs just in case it’s a known issue with certain hardware.

Mobo: Asus Sabertooth Z77
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K (OC to 4.1 GHz)
RAM: Corsair Vengence (16 GB)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Ti SC (2 GB)
SND: ASUS Xonar DGX
SSD: Samsung 830 (256 GB)
PSU: Corsair GS800
OS: Windows 8 Pro

Hi Skiroid – The first thing I would recommend would be to disable Turbo Boost to disable the auto “over-clocking” as the client can be sensitive to overclocked hardware.
