Account security and customer service

I have had my account hacked and terminated about two weeks ago and had to change my password to a 23 digit password, then sent all the IPs that tried to access my account to give Anet as much information as possible and I think waiting 4 days just for a simple response is somewhat disappointing. Anet did get my account back but two days later bam! hacked again and today is my fifth day waiting to change my email log in now I’m hearing so much negativity on forums and other mmo websites it completely changed my perspective on guildwars2. I fell in love with this game when I saw videos and the first day I played it and now I hear about permabans for in-game exploits aka a more efficient way to level up or making insane amount of gold and at this point I’m deciding if I can get a refund for the game itself and the gems I purchased.

Unless Anet addresses these issues head on and not dodge them they could redeem themselves, but if not this game is going to decline even though it is free to play and I want it to have the title of the best free to play mmo even better than any p2p mmos.

I would recommend a full scan of your system to check for keyloggers. In fact, I’d recommend you flatten it and rebuild, but I’m naturally conservative about these things.

Using the email or mobile authenticator is excellent advice, and I hope you take advantage of one or the other.
