Account Hacked

Im submitting this under my husbands account because as of sometime today, my log in email has been apparently changed? I tried to log in this evening, did not work because my email address wasn’t a valid one. I checked my email and had a nice one from ArenaNet stating this:
“Someone -hopefully you!- has requested to change the email address associated with your Guild Wars account.”
WHAT?! No I did not submit a change in address. So, now I’m stuck….I love how they said- “hopefully you!”
Not sure what to do at this point, guess I wait for a reply to my ticket and hope I’m not now banned for life and could possibly have my character back….

You should know that if this happened, the would-be hacker has both your email address and your password. They didn’t get that information from us, but they’re using credentials stolen from a stolen database that may have been harvested from a forum, email account, game account, website, etc.

So when you see that message, you should immediately contact Support because in fact your account has been compromised.
