Account hacked and waiting reply

I have recently return to Guild Wars 2 after a long absence, upon my return my password didn’t work and I had to get it reset by support, once reset I found an authenticator had been put on my account when I removed it along time ago due to issues.

I finally got into my account to find all but one of my characters had been deleted and the remaining character is now on a French server. All of my friends including my partner (who I live with) have been put on the blocked list and I am no longer a member of the guild we set up together.

I sent all this information to the support team over 36 hours ago and was told the ticket had been passed on and I would hear from another department soon. Nothing has happened at all, not even a message saying they are looking into it, or asking for more information.

So how long does it normally take for support to get back to people?
Because my password and authenticator issue was solved in minutes but 36 hours and no reply is quite a long time.

I’m sorry that you had a wait a bit to get your response, but I’m glad that it sorted out ok for you. (I wish an account restoration had been possible, but it’s good that not all was lost!)

I’m trying to work on a means for us to update players while they wait for help. We have the note that tells players that something is being routed to another agent, a lead, a sub-team, those sorts of things. But if you wait for days for a second response, I can see where that would be confusing and possibly a cause of concern.

I’d like to use your ticket as an example of how we could improve communications and updates. What’s the number, please?
