What to expect and what changes are they bringing to wvw?

Confusion Nerf in WvW, totally saw that coming .
Reveal nerf back to 3 seconds PvE/WvW but 4 seconds in PvP. (Don’t understand why it’s 4 seconds in PvP but whatever).
Signet stat passives boosted from 90 to 180.
Active on SOME Signets getting changed.
All Pets from all classes will no longer attack stuff you have not attacked.
Spirit Watch – Orb 40% slow affects Ele RTL. Channel to get orb increased from 2 to 3 seconds. Spawn on orb increased to 10 seconds at the start of the match.
Next patch is mostly bug fixes because this patch is a massive balance patch.

New trait in Warrior Defense line, Reduces imob/chill/cripple duration and you gain Regen (regen has internal cooldown).
New trait combined for Warrior. Burst skill recharge reduced and amount of adrenaline consumed.
New Warrior Trait. (Master i think) 3% damage per boom on the enemy.
Warrior Signet of might active changed. Next 3 attacks will be unblockable.

Thief Mug Trait can no longer crit, but now it also heals 2K (scales with heal power).
Flanking Strike tracking has been improved, 2nd hit no steal boons.

Ranger pets will now try to move behind the target if they don’t have aggro.
Ranger pet stats have been improved across the board (This is going to come back and bite rangers down the road).
Ranger pet F2 activation times improved.
Spirit pets health increased.

Ele mist form locks you out of utilities (No more #6 healing in Mist form HUGE change)
RTL Changed to be 40 seconds, but if it hits something it will be 20 seconds (Blocks/invul ect count as a hit).
Signet of Restoration passive nerfed slightly.
30 Point trait that removes a condi upon gaining regen will have a 5 second CD (Trait is dead).
Conjure Duration increased (Still useless).

Engineer healing turret initial heal reduced, overcharge healing increased and CD reduced and removes condis.
Incendiary Powder changed from a 2 sec burn every 3 secs 33% chance to 4 seconds every 10 with a 100% chance.
Can no longer use Skills during Elixer S (Same as mist form).

Battle and Energy Sigils getting looked at, among other underpowered ones.

Mesmer Mantras getting reduced by .5 Seconds.
Distortion (F4) will no longer contest a point.
Moa Elite can be used on the run. Moa #5 run skill reduced in distance.
Illusion of Life cast time is being increased.

Guardian mostly bug fixes.
Spirit Weapons health boost.

Necromancer Minions getting health boost.
Epidemic and Corrupt boon no longer blockable.
Death Shroud getting a 5th skill, a new kind of Condi but its still in the works.

There are very definitely WvW changes in bound. The release notes will be worth reading.

Any chance of fixing aoes so they can’t go through the back of the lords room in the Bay keep. Why ‘fix’ the splash damage of catas through gates but not other forms?

The simplest answer is that they are not the same thing. It’s simpler to make changes to siege weapons than to player skills because there are more repercussions to player skill changes.
