I’ve completed the map today for the world completion.
With:
301/301
512/512
727/727
202/202
266/266
Also got 100% map completion bar and got the title :Been there, Done that.
I‘ve done what wiki told me to do.
No chest jump out or anything happened after i finished it.

Currently I submitted a ticket:376196.
Is it related to the new patch?

Akatan — have you submitted a ticket? We’re looking into any reports of this situation, and I’d love the team to have your details!

When you have submitted, may I get your 6-digit ticket number so I can pass it along? Thanks!

Hey you guys! Please give me ticket numbers! Any ticket numbers about this are fine, any language, too. The team is taking a peek.

(And thank you for that number, hdinh, and those valuable details! )

how/where can I see my ticket number? :-P (its not about this problem btw) but couldn’t find the number after you reported a bug in game

Reporting in the game does not open a support ticket. It simply sends a message about a bug to the team, and no response is possible nor is it possible for the team to investigate individual issues such as this via a in-game bug report. (To see the difference, consider: This is happening to your account. A map glitch would happen to everyone player. So the latter would be fine for an in-game report, but something that’s impacting your account needs a ticket. You see?)

To submit an individual ticket — which is required in a case of this nature, or anything related to your individual account — please click “Support” at the top of this page, then “Submit a request” to start the submission process. Please note there are two drop-down areas that must be completed, and space for you to describe your issue.

Upon submission of a ticket, you will receive a response that contains your six-digit ticket number.

Thanks, confusion. I know the programming team is on the case and they’ll get a fix for any issues as soon as possible.

Thank you, also, for updating that you tried the trouble-shooting steps. This will probably save some time in reviewing the ticket, and we appreciate that.

Hi everyone!

We’re still diving into this one – thanks for your patience. I wanted to let you all know that we’re planning a mass reply to your tickets once we have a plan of action. It will feel all ‘roboty’ but will let you know what to do. I imagine Gaile will update here as well.

Also – for anyone who has lost the ‘star’ from your nameplate you may be able to solve this by getting the new POIs in Lion’s Arch. Worked for me.

(Repeating post in other forum)

According to a member of our programming team, there is a known issue that is preventing some players from getting rewards. The team is investigating.

However, quite often, a player is mistaken about the status of their account or is shown that rewards are due when they aren’t quite earned. Players should do some troubleshooting steps before submitting a ticket, because this might be resolvable individually, and ,may not be related to any bug.

Here are some troubleshooting steps:

  1. Log into the game with the character that has the 100% world completion.
  2. Go to Bloodtide Coast via Lion’s Arch and enter the Chantry of Secrets.
  3. Make sure that you have claimed the “Sanctum of Secrets” Point of Interest within this map instance.
  4. Some of the skill challenges require you to consume an item. If this item has been consumed in a zone other than the one in which the skill challenge is located, you will not receive the rewards for 100% world completion. Revisit every map in the game and that may resolve your issue and grant you your items.

Also, sometimes the title is rewarded prematurely (in error). To receive the rewards for fully exploring the world, please carefully review each map for missing Points of Interest, Skill Challenges, Renown Regions, and Waypoints with the single character with whom you are trying to finish the task. The most common areas that are missed are World vs. World maps, Chantry of Secrets, and the various city maps, such as Divinity’s Reach, Black Citadel, etc.

More:

Generally we find that players are resolving the problem by revisiting each the following cities.
- Lion’s Arch
- Rata Sum
- Black Citadel
- Divinity’s Reach
- Hoelbrak
- The Grove

Player Notes:

  • I just fixed after reading some solutions here, come back to whisper cathedral ( i alredy had explored ) and go back to the last interset point, work for me.
  • [Player] teleported to all the map locations and found that he had not opened the reward chest (the one you see each time you finish a map or after completing daily quests or dungeons) on one particular map. After opening the chest, another reward popped up and he was able to obtain the Gifts of Exploration.

I hope all this is helpful to you. If after doing these steps and following these tips you continue to need assistance, please submit a ticket. If you already submitted a ticket some time ago (say, more than a week ago) and, after going through the troubleshooting steps above, still need help you can simply respond to your ticket and say you still have not received your rewards.

And yes, any actual issues are still very much on the developers’ radar for correction

Update! We have been looking into this and are currently laying the groundwork for a fix. I’ve sent a mass reply to open tickets on the matter – sorry about the generic messaging. We’ll be looking at each ticket individually so we’ll need some time.

I understand how important this is to all of you and promise we’re not letting the issue sit idle. I’m seeing a great response toward getting this resolved for all of you.

I’ll update again as soon as I can (probably tomorrow).

Thanks to those of you who are attempting the troubleshooting suggestions posted earlier in this thread and a special thanks to those of you who are mentioning that you’ve tried the steps right in your tickets. Our agents knowing that you tried the steps — and of course whether they worked or not — helps a bunch!

As you know, there is a game issue that is affecting a number of the folks posting in this thread and the team definitely is working on that. We don’t want to burden you by suggesting troubleshooting unless you want to try them. But I know from previous issues that sometimes, other things arise at the same time as a bug or game glitch. This means that a few of you will be helped by using the troubleshooting steps, so feel free to give ‘em a try if you wish. As the saying goes, "Can’t hurt, may help!"

If you find you are able to get your rewards, we’d greatly appreciate your updating your ticket to let us know.

Thank you so much for your patience and we’ll be back with more info later!

Okay, so… there is a fix coming.

In the meantime – if you finish map complete and do not get your 2x Gift of Exploration submit a support ticket. If you have correctly found all of the required POIs, WPs, etc. support is going to automatically send you the items. We will be doing this until the fix rolls out to the servers once every 24 hours.

When you submit the ticket the first post-auto-response we send you is going to be a generic ‘wait 24 hours’ response to allow us time to send you the gifts if you are due them. If you don’t qualify we’ll follow up with instructions on what to check in order to get you map complete.

Please be patient on your tickets, we’re a bit swamped right now but we’ll not forget you. =D

*Edit – Afterthought. We already sent out a large batch of these today so the next one goes out tomorrow.

The missing star is part of the bug and is being addressed in the upcoming fix. The new POIs simply kicked the bug where it counts and got the star working again. It is my understanding that we shouldn’t lose our stars in the future.

One of our GMs is looking at accounts that have submitted tickets and not received Gifts. A large number of these are missing POIs. and we’re working on queries to identify which each individual is missing and that is going to take time.

Here are some additional updates for you:

  • In a situation where Player Fred gets WC on Monday and Player Mary gets WC on Tuesday, Fred may get his rewards before Mary, or the two players may get their rewards in the same day’s distribution. Since the distributions are based on achievement date it’s highly unlikely that Mary would get her rewards before Fred.
  • Distributions are made daily for all who qualify, whether they have submitted a ticket or not.
  • If you are asked in a ticket to wait 24 hours and if you then still do not have your gift, please update your ticket (respond to the latest e-mail in the thread) and provide the exact name of the character who earned World Complete. This will help us research any individual issues more quickly for you!

Thanks again for your patience while we get those tasty gifts out to everyone!

We’re still digging!

I checked with the dev working on this fix yesterday, and he confirmed the below was accurate to the best of his knowledge.

With the March 4th build:

  • everyone from this date forward will receive the proper rewards
  • everyone who got or gets WC will sport the star in game
  • everyone who accomplished World Complete prior to February 18th will receive his/her rewards and star (if not previously distributed) with the build

Customer Support will be:

  • giving any missing Gifts of Exploration for those who accomplished World Complete between February 18 and March 5
  • distributing without the need for a ticket, but if you have a ticket, that’s fine, too.

So please check those dates. If you achieved World Complete between February 18 and March 5, we will be sending you your rewards but please allow a day or two more to get that taken care of.

If you have issues other than those described, we invite you to submit a ticket so we can review those on an individual bases.

Thanks for your patience with this and remember, we’re here to help if you still need assistance!

We’re still experiencing an issue with verifying completion. We ARE going to get a reply out to you, no worries. =) We have not sent gifts out this week while we work on determining who is and is not affected by the bug – and who simply needs to go back and finish map complete.

If anyone reading this completed after the March 4 live build (approx 9am PDT) and did not get gifts would you please reply here with the character name affected?

For everyone who landed the achievement and did not get gifts, remember that the achievement is account-wide and does not guarantee that a specific character has 100% (thus earning Gifts).

*Edit – submitting multiple tickets slows us down and does not get you help any sooner than one ticket will.

Thank you for your updates. We don’t need any more character names at this time. We appreciate your providing them but we’re good now.

Update as of 6 March 2:30 PM Pacific: Progress has been made in researching this issue and we’ll be addressing the problem of missing Gifts of Exploration soon, on an individual basis. Watch your e-mails for updates on your tickets, with a message that the gifts have been sent. If you did not submit a ticket — and hey, even if you did -- watch you in-game mail for the transmittal message containing your rewards.

This is a priority and we have folks who are nose down, focusing on this very issue. Again, thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this pesky bug!

Update 6 March 2014 5:30 PM Pacific Time: Some of you may have noticed that you received your gifts. If you do not have your gifts now, we ask that you please submit a ticket or update your existing ticket. To do the latter, simply respond to any e-mail with the ticket number in the subject line and update to say you checked your account, made sure you did not have 10 or more mails, and you definitely did not receive the distribution mail.

Upon verification of eligibility, the Gifts will be sent to you.

If you have a ticket in the queues, that’s great. These individual cases will be investigated one by one, and I feel sure you’ll get an answer soon. However, I’ll follow up, since it’s been so long.

UPDATE: I see this was resolved a few hours ago, so I believe you’re good to go.

Needless to say, we’re very sorry for the bug that prevents the timely arrive of the Gifts of Exploration. That was some pesky bug, but it has been well and truly smited, so those gifts should be in your in-game mailbox. If you have a continuing issue (which would be very rare) please follow up with a ticket, or update the ticket you already have in the system.

Thanks to everyone for your patience!

458670 – Resolved
480546 – Explained on 3/23. It appears you have a bit of exploration yet to do.

If anyone needs to follow up, may I ask that you do so in the Tickets for Review thread? That’s the best place to ask for help related to an existing ticket. Thanks!
