Game crashes on first mob pull in Pit

Game crashes every time 5 seconds into the Pit. I’ve not had any crashes since the game first released.

We are seeing this hitting quite a few clients so we will look at solutions and possibly a rollback and will update once we have more.

Here is a temporary fix for some players while we are work on an update.

  • Go to Diablo IV on your launcher.
  • Click on the cog wheel next to the ‘Play’ button.
  • Click on ‘Game Settings’.
  • Add the below command line argument to your Game Settings.

We have another client patch out on PC tonight that should help out with some stability issues beyond the disabling of DLSS from yesterday.

This will hit console tomorrow as well. Keep us updated on how things are going. I appreciate everyone’s patience on this.

Thanks for the extra info.

The updates being rolled out are hitting on specific individual items but not all of them. We choose to roll out updates as fixes come in. We do have some other lingering stability bugs and so we do expect additional client patches. I know 2.0.4b is currently in the works and will have some details on that soon.

The update that went out this morning address client stability issues we’ve been tracking. For those who were using the settings update with the additional command line (-nostreamline), you won’t need this anymore with the latest update.

We’re keeping an eye on threads here as well as logs on the back end. Please feel free to continue to share how things with the rollout of the latest update with 2.0.4b
