Spiritborn Locked Isssue

We have become aware of the possibility where players could purchase a Standard to Ultimate upgrade without owning the necessary Standard Edition of Vessel of Hatred.

Players can fix this by purchasing the Standard Edition of the Vessel of Hatred which will complete the upgrade to Ultimate Edition.

Afterwards, Xbox users can follow these instructions below to download the final content package if you still have the Spiritborn locked.

  1. Hover over the D4 Icon
  2. Press Start
  3. Select Manage Game Add-Ons
  4. Select D4 Base Game
  5. Select Manage Installation on internal storage
  6. Check the Vessel of Hatred Expansion Pack check box hit
  7. Hit Save Changes

We are investigating other platform related issues that others are reporting outside of Xbox.

Hi all - Checking into this some more.

Just to verify, you need Vessel of Hatred for the Spiritborn on every platform you want to play Spiritborn available.

For example: If you want to play Spiritborn on Xbox and on PC Bnet, you need to buy Vessel of Hatred on BOTH platforms.

If you can provide the following:

Platform:
Version Purchased: (Standard/Deluxe/Ultimate)
BNET ID:

I do want to make sure - Players need to buy Vessel of Hatred on each platform they want to play the Spiritborn.

Just to confirm - Are users playing on a platform w/o Vessel of Hatred purchased but purchased on a different platform? You must own it on multiple platforms for Spiritborn to be available on each platform.

Pre-purchase rewards are carried over. The content in the actual expansion does not. You need TWO copies of Vessel of Hatred (one on each platform) for the below content.

Vessel of Hatred Expansion—Available to Vessel of Hatred Owners

You will then have access to VoH and Spiritborn on Steam.

Did you purchase the DLC on Steam and you are not seeing it? Separately if you bought it on Steam and you DONT see it, did you buy it via an upgrade path in-game?

This requires Vessel of Hatred base game but want to make sure because it seems it can be purchased without it.

See the top post. You bought an upgrade from Standard to Ultimate, but did not actually own Standard.

You will need to buy the Standard to get the license for Vessel of Hatred to make the Ultimate Edition whole.

Can you do the following:

Close out the game. Close out Steam. Restart Steam. Restart the game and see if this helps?

Just wanting to double check while we investigate further!

Can you check for any lingering DLCs that you need to grab for Vessel of Hatred. Maybe buried in the lists on the Xbox side.
