Few issues with the Templar

For starters, I have been having the voice over issues with the Templar as other people have posted about. He says nothing during his quest, and I cannot skip the talking portion by clicking the X in his chat box.

I started the Rein of the Black King quest, already having the Templar as a follower. When I got to the point where you free him and find his equipment, he joined me as well, so now I have 2 Templars with gear following me around fighting.
