Launcher going straight to game. Bug,design?

Unlike before patch six, starting the launcher goes directly to the game. Before patch six, it would just start the launcher with news items, options, and links to the forum and a "Play" button. Now when I start the launcher it does directly to the game log on screen.

Mine does the update, but doesn't display that it is doing anything. It jumped from Setup to Available. It is currently at 259 MB remaining, not moving. Not sure if its downloading or not.

Hi Mathray,

This is a brand new change to the Launcher. If there is nothing to patch, it will go straight to the game.

If there is ever a new patch, the Launcher will then appear and let you choose to download fully or play when data is available (stream).

To do this, simply exit the game and relaunch D3. If you have something to download, the launcher will start downloading it immediately and you can wait.

If there is nothing to download there is nothing to download, so I'm sorry if I didn't fully understand your question.
