Hey guys,

Please try these work arounds. We are patching brand new installer/patcher tools into the Beta, so there may be some problems with patching from old builds.

If you are having trouble with the Launcher updating tools:
  • If the Launcher is stuck updating tools, close it and try relaunching.

  • If this doesn't work and you cannot get your tools updated, do a full uninstall and reinstall the Beta.

If you are having trouble with patching the game:
  • If the Launcher is patching the game but does not show the patching status update, hang tight. It probably is patching, just not showing you. This is a known issue for the game's release.

  • If the game cannot patch at all, and your tools are up to date, do a full uninstall and reinstall the Beta.

Do not try to move the files, install two Betas, or anything out of the ordinary. If you need to uninstall, do a full normal uninstall. If you need to re-install, install the game to the default location (change the hard drive if you need to).

Finally, if none of the workarounds above work, I've just been informed that we are putting a brand new installer on the Battle.net accounts page. Please follow these steps if nothing above helps:

    1. Open up a task manager program and kill any existing process of Blizzard “Agent”
    2. Delete the entire contents of their %ProgramData%\Battle.net folder
    3. Go to the Battle.net account management site and download the new Web Installer.
    a. Diablo III Beta Setup.exe
    b. Diablo III Beta Setup.app
    4. Run the installer
    5. Pick a location to install that is different than their previous installed Diablo III Game.

Thank you for your patience with this and for helping us test brand new tools.
