UPDATE SUMMARY 2/19/2012:
1. Frogs randomly (1 out of 3-4) pass through (usually in pairs) a boss type monster.
2. Splash damage does 0 or minimal damage.
-Indirect, Direct damage. (not hit by original frog, but nailed by splash damage)

When standing 1-3 inches away several of my frogs were passing through for no damage on the skeleton king. When standing very close, it occurs less often but still several pass through. Out of 15 casts at least 5-8 passed through without exploding.

other thoughts:
I do like that frogs appear to hit the target more, and maybe its just me move a bit quicker. However it does appear that with the skeleton king, the "collision" detection is not always working, therefore they do not always explode or do damage.

I have noticed pre-patch frogs often missing the target all together. I often joke you are better off aiming next to your target to hit them rather than actually on the target. I'm not sure if this is still occurring as well. Frogs often end up going in a V pattern, where the frogs would go outside of the monster but not actually hit them. I hope they are a bit "smarter" over time to have at least 1 hit your monster and one or two go around them. It is nice that if your target runs, they might run into the 2nd or 3rd frog. However if all of them miss its not as valuable.

Frogs are currently not intended to be a lock on and follow spell. They function more like a shotgun in that the closer you are, the more likely the frogs are to hit.

However, if they are not hitting a target right in front of them, then that is an issue I will look into that, but just so you know, your final paragraph is something that should be in the Beta Feedback forums.
