Follower doesn't die after the char dies

When my Wizard dies, his Templar doesn't - just keeps on going. This happened to me each two times I died at Leoric because of the Electrocute-chain-cast-char-paralysis bug. After spamming Electrocute, my char was unable to move/cast and king Leo sliced me in half. My follower, however, didn't die with me.

Instead, he didn't even offer a shrug and kept attacking SK. In the end, he managed to kill him! Screen of his moment of bittersweet triumph: http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/2184/screenshot023cm.jpg

Is this intended? Did the Electrocute spam bug cause this or do the Followers stay alive until we respawn? Btw, I respawned moments later (without pressing the resurrect button) and couldn't move, had to alt+f4.

It is intended for Followers to not die when you die. Followers actually can't die, they can only get knocked unconscious.

This is always subject to change, of course.
