Loot appears underneath the character

When I and my friend played, he looted a bookcase while I was standing several feets away. I got my share of the loot directly under my character, not at the bookcase he just looted.

This happened a couple of time under 3 hours of gameplay. Also happened for him when I looted a bookcase.
