Blacksmith bug since tonights patch

Possible Blacksmith bug since the patch tonight 9-26-11 I noticed that the Blacksmith (Haedrig Eamon) appears in town and has a quest that gives you the Cauldron of Jordan right off the bat and gives no experience. This is happening on new characters made. I did not even complete any quests but the first quest outside of New Tristram. Tells me to go talk to Leah inside the Slaughtered Calf Inn. So I am not sure if this was intended or not but he definately appearing in town without saving Deckard Cain.

It makes sense to have the blacksmith even if you haven't completed the quest on that specific character since it's account wide. I'm guessing it was intentional.

Well if this was done intentionally , I would suggest the chat he has with you be changed. Because he tells you this "You're missing something very important--a Cauldron of Jordan! I want you to have mine, for all the help you have given me." That wouldn't really make any sense for a brand new character. Since new characters haven't interacted with him or helped him as of yet.

This is intended. We do this so if you join someone else's game, you aren't roadblocked by not having these helpful items. We also do this in case for some reason you missed picking these items up in the first place (disconnect, whatever).

On my first play-through I did not see the Blacksmith but I did see the quest icon on the minimap. There was nothing on the main screen: no Blacksmith nor quest marker.

I don't mind it, but i found it a bit odd that he gives you the cauldron, rather than the cube. You can always sell stuff right from the start, but you can't salvage things for a while.

He gives you all three if you have them all unlocked: Cauldron, Cube, and Stone of Recall.

The two Haedrigs is a separate issue. Locking this thread because all bugs reported here have been accounted for.
