Created new public game, started outside New Tristram, talked to Rumford, Leah, etc. Made my way through the game as far as The Old Ruins waypoint. Stepped on the waypoint preparing to return to town, and had these Objectives:
The Fallen Star
[ ] Talk to Captain Rumford in New Tristram
[X] Bonus: Use the Waypoint to return to New Tristram
The problem is that the box is checked although I haven't yet returned to town via the waypoint. I stepped off the waypoint, and the box remained checked. Used a Stone of Recall portal to return to town, clicked on Rumford, and got a Quest Reward of 150 gold and 1000 XP (is that the use-the-Waypoint bonus?), and the Objectives vanished from the screen.
I shouldn't get the use-the-Waypoint bonus if I don't use the Waypoint.
