Templar unretrievable after dismiss

It appears that if you dismiss your templar you cant get it back. I wanted to try the heal on him so I dismissed mine right before I started the event.. The new Templar follows you however after you defeat Jondar and get ready to go down to the next floor he disappears. I have tried running the same quest again to get him back to no avail. Im going to try a fresh run thru to see if he appears.

EDIT: fresh run does not appear to fix the issue.

Is he in New Tristram? Your followers will stand in the middle of New Tristram if you dismiss them.

No worries, I had a hard time finding him the first time as well :)
