After 1008 error new problems

1008 is settled for me, but now I'm getting two new error messages that I've not seen yet: on character creation, I received this message "Your account name or password is incorrect. (ERROR_3)".

After clicking on that about ten times, I was finally able to create a new character, but then when I went to start a normal game, I received this and was unable to get in, even after trying at length to do so: "There was an error creating game, please try again. (ERROR_24000)" This one I can't get past.

I'm just curious if these two errors are a result of 1008 not recognizing us as betas? The first error message (account name and password) suggests there may still be some confusion?

Hey Marais,

This issue is not a result of Error 1008. It could be one of a few things, but first try this. If you are on Windows 7, try disabling UAC (User Account Control), restarting your computer, and logging into beta.

If this doesn't work, there are a few other threads on here with some workarounds. Blizzard is aware of this and is working on a fix, but I have no ETA yet. Thanks for the post though.
