Hello everyone, and welcome to Sanctuary!

My name is Vasadan and I am a Quality Assurance Analyst on Diablo III. I will be the lead tester on the D3 Bug Report Forums, reading every one of your bug reports as well as interacting with you as much as possible. My role on the team is the main point of contact between the D3 Bug Report Forums, QA, and the Diablo III Development team.

As a general reminder, these forums are reserved for issues with the GAME itself. Since we are not in Beta yet, there will be no reason to post fake bugs on this forum. All bugs relating to issues with the website will be moved to their proper forums.

I will be getting some stickied threads up and running this morning, but please be advised that the real meat and potatoes of this forum (Known Issues, What's Not A Bug, etc.) will not go live until we hit Beta. Sorry for not giving away spoilers! :)

Thank you in advance for your hard work testing the game once we hit Beta, and I honestly can't wait to work with you in the future!

Hey Vas!

When the beta starts, should bugs be posted/reported in a specific fashion? IE maybe a form to fill out to submit feedback

Hey Squino,

I'll get into some actual bug formatting once we get closer to Beta. There's a fine line between a formatting style that is helpful and just extra work, but I'll try to strike a balance.

Also, the Community Team will be handling feedback in the General Forums, so you can post any feedback there. They will also more than likely do polls, Q&As, and other activities like they do on the WoW and SC2 forums.

Hope that helps!

So this may sound like an obvious question but I'd like to make sure since I've never been invited to a beta, and I don't want to screw it up if i do =D As far as finding bugs, do exploits fall under that? More to the point if I play the beta should i be looking / trying to find any exploits?

This is an excellent question Snaks, one that I will respond to here as well as make a stickie of on the main Bug Report Forums page.

According to the Forums Code of Conduct, under NO circumstances should a hack or exploit be reported on the public forums. Because of the sensitive nature of hacks/exploits, posting on the forums only ensures that other people are going to attempt to use them. Any poster who breaks this rule will have his/her thread deleted and the potential for a permanent ban.

If you find an exploit or think someone is hacking the game, please send a detailed e-mail to hacks@blizzard.com or fill out the form listed here:

I think you should lobby the higher-ups to change your official title. Having Assurance in there was enough, but adding a second word that can be easily abbreviated to reference anatomy is just cruel. Analyst? Really? They couldn't go with Agent? Technician? Specialist?

If we want to get technical, my official title is:

Diablo III Community Specialist, Quality Assurance Analyst I

So yes, I am indeed called a "Specialist." No need for a revolution. :)

Just a question: Will there be some kind of suggestion forum where testers can input ideas or little tweaks regarding the beta, or is it pretty much the game is set just find the bugs?

Hey Slevin,

This specific forum is for bugs only, but feedback and other general questions can be asked on just about any other forum.

I've compiled a list of those forums here:

Enjoy!
