A big problem with Lut Gholein to Kurast

The transition from Act II to Act III is done by boat. One of the most disappointing things for me is that there is no cinematic showing the player riding the boat, fighting the monsters along the way, as well as arriving at Kurast.

Will Diablo III be better about this?

It would be even greater if the player and his team were given the opportunity to fight off the sea monsters or flying evil things for a short while . Literally being able to do this while the boat is moving.

The docks from Lut Gholein and later Kurast, also had the boats physically blocked off. I think it would be worth the effort to allow the player to walk on the boat before using it. Lastly, the surrounding water should be explorable to some extent. But the water itself is still a danger because of things that might live in it.

For example we could allow for the player to have their own small canoe type of boat and cross a river/lake/pond. Which could also be a good escape away from monsters or ideal for finding an easier route to some place.

Ofcourse some of this is limited, as we do not want the player to be able to avoid all monsters.

I hope Diablo 3 takes this in mind for their environments and towns.
