When i was entering the store i've seen this guy walk out with this cool looking case for his laptop
with the blizzard symbole on it.
As i was standing in front of the shelf for the software, having smalltalk with my buddy about different games, a employe next to us joined in for talk.
We first were talking about the new Final Fantasy 14 Online and that it was nice to see that both PC & Console Players can play together.
The Employe then said:"It will be possible with Diablo 3 to."
I laught saying: "Get some new info and Blizzard said that Diablo 3 isn't coming out for Console."
He didn't think it was funny!
Employe: "I just got new info from a worthy representive."
Me: "Sure!".
And he didn't stop!
Employe: "The new franchise is nothing else then "World of Diablo"."
Know i was laughing out so loud!
I said: "Yeah of course! And they are using the WoW grafic engine!".
The employe: "No! They got the license for the Cry 3 Engine. It's going to be there first grafic engine that is not developed from Blizzard."
Know i was a little confused couse i hade a flashback.
I've got info from a employe/designer of Crysis 2 on the Gamescom that several videogame publishers
were interested in the Cry 3 engine.
Asking him what companys these were he only said that there was a very famous one, but he can't say any more. (Blizzard/Activision came to my mind)
Am i getting this wrong.
1. Guy with Blizzard laptop case = his informant ?
2. Info from Gamescom employe/designer = true?
3. The merge of Blizzard & Activision = new politik including console for there games?
4. The new franchise = just a distraction so we don't get behind there real plans?
What do you think? I'm allways up to date about the blizzard products.
But this confused me a bit.
And come on, "World of Diablo" just sounds ridiculous!
