Why new wow expansion before diablo 3?

does anyone no i would love to hear responses that are probably not true. I just hate how wow gets 2 expansions in a decade while diablo 3 has to wait probably a decade before the 3rd on comes out. What is blizzard thinking besides trying to milk wow for all its worth before it dies out.

We haven't announced a release date for Diablo III.
