+X-XDmg mod not working properly?

I have noticed that weapon with this mod don't seem to have their damage change accordingly.

for example in the screenshot the sickle was 6-11 and with +2-4 it became 8-13 instead of 8-15 like what would happen with any other damage mod (poison/fire...)

This is not a bug. The + damage affixes are rolled into the weapon's damage range. If you weapon originally had 2-4 damage, and you had +2 max damage, your weapon range would change to 2-6.

Those giant DPS numbers show you your estimated damage after all affixes are rolled into the item.

Looks really like a bug. Even if you will get the worst possible white sickle http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/sickle it should have 6 + 2 = 8 minimal damage which is correct AND
11 + 4 = 15 maximum damage which is quite wrong.


Our website will be out of date until the game comes out, and even then every item has unique stats. I would advise against comparing in-game items to items on the website right now.
