Unable to search by preferred stat

In the auction house if I search by preferred stat (Magic find) nothing will show up but if I take off preferred stat it will show up with a list of everything including some items with magic find. I have gone through the list in auction house and some of the preferred stats find items but others won't I'm not sure if this is just a problem with me or a global problem
