I can't find any info on this, but how exactly are they encoded? They seem to contain all info needed to show item, which is - affix list, quality, item id, rare name (only for rares, consists of 1 id, 2 numbers and 1 flag as far as I understand), and random number (for exact numbers on stats). But I can't understand how it's encoded, it's similar to base64, but contains invalid characters - '-' and '_' and no padding characters in the end.

I suspect that documenting that encoded data would end up being more trouble than it is worth. Currently it is based on patch data and our (web) interpretation of the item, which may change without warning or notice.

You may be able to convince Korigus that it is worth it, but for now you'll have to do without any official documentation.
