The new legendary effects actually hurt build diversity

Blizzard calls them the build changer, but they are actually the build killer.

The problem derives from those the legendaries' "OP" effects . Yes, these legendaries will very likely change your current builds when you get them. But after that, you will only use the skills that have the legendaries OP effects. All other builds will actually become completely useless.

So yes legendaries are "the build changers" as Blizzard have used the term. But this only happens when you get the legendaries. After that, they become "the build optimizer" which means zero build diversity.

It's a little too early to know what the optimal builds will be, and what items will be best in slot for them. But, do you think build diversity will be in better or worse shape than what we currently have, and why do you think so?
