From Blizzcon and the PTR preview, it was nice to hear that we will be getting more stash space and that the developers have resolved their technical and infrastructure issues. Having sufficient storage space is a gameplay issue as are bug fixes and UI improvements. It is not specific to any one game mode.

It is my opinion that the proposed system about how they plan to dole out extra stash tabs is ludicrous. Simply stated, it seems appropriate to have 10 stash tabs in the next patch by default. Also, if the developers insist that we "earn" the tabs, why not let there be a mechanism for this in BOTH seasons and non-seasons. Please post your comments.

Upvote if you want 10 stash tabs in the next patch, downvote if you like the proposed system as outlined at Blizzcon.

My personal reasons are as follows:

1) The China region has 10 stash tabs (F2P + paid microtransaction); however, we need to complete four additional season journeys to get the same number. Most of us payed ~$100 for D3/RoS. The proposed system seems discrimatory for those of us not in China.

Do Chinese seasonal players complain that non-season players already have access to 10 stash tabs?

2) Rework of the wailing host/littany set. Previously, we were able to conserve stash space by trashing items that did fit the “set meta”. Now, many of us will want to save/use more non-set items. These items will likely require additional storage space.

3) Seasonal exclusive legendaries were eliminated in response to player feedback; however, additional stash tabs are unlocked by playing seasons. The paradox is obvious. Moreover, when the debate was raging about how seasonal exclusive items/gems, how many times did someone argue that these items were not exclusive but time gated. Now, stash tabs are truly locked behind seasons. If I had a choice, I would prefer to give time-gated legendaries back to seasons if it meant we all had 10 tabs available at patch 2.4.

4) To get 10 stash tabs as quickly as possible, one will need to play the next four seasons. Therefore, it will take more than a year to get 10 stash tabs. Why do we need to wait more than a year to get 10 stash tabs if the technical/infrastructure issues have been resolved.

5) 50 hours of work in non-seasons is not better or worse than 50 hours of work in seasons; however, in relation to stash space it is. There should be similar rewards for similar work.

6) Dependent on the player, non-season is more likely to accumulate items, since it is the “sum” or prior seasons and non-season items. Therefore, it seem that there should be a mechanism in place to increase non-season stash in non-season. The logical fallacy is illustrated far better than

P.S. Stash space is not a luxury, it is a requirement to store items when the game revolves around finding and presumably using a subset of the acquired loot. Also, the idea of earning 4 extra stash tabs over more than a year is elitist and entitled crap. I always find it interesting that someone whose non-season paragon is below 250 talking smack about stash space.

We wanted to provide an option for players to acquire more stash space. We are using the Season Journey as a method for players to gain that space. It provides a reason to participate in the season, especially if you have never considered it before. So, starting with Season 5 and with future seasons, players can acquire an additional stash tab by completing the Conqueror stage of the Season Journey; a 6th stash tab is also immediately purchasable for gold for all players.

I want everyone to know we have been paying close attention to discussions on this topic and we are keeping your concerns in mind. Ultimately, we are glad we found a way in which we could provide additional stash as an option to a large portion of our players.
