Question about deleting game

If I delete the game and then re download it on xb1, will my characters be intact? I ask because it seems like this maybe my only way to get 2.1

Shinyoshi, I'd recommend holding off doing that just yet - I've seen the other reports of the delays and am currently investigating. I'll be back in a bit.

Although the patch is technically live, it may take some time before some players see that the console update is available. We expect that all PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users will have access to the 2.1.0 update by around 6PM PDT. To those of you who have not yet received the update notice yet, thank you for your continued patience!
