("bug" has been fixed)
Hi guys,

Recently, I spent some time on testing the new bloodshed rune. However, I don't know if this is a good news or not. (cuz I got some secret powerful builds, if they change the mechs again...may be they will be secrets forever.) Anyway, I'd like to share the results with you guys, maybe most of you already knew.
(Test weapon dph 132-133)
1. Bloodshed dmg Formula:
a= crit chance
b= crit dmg
Bloodshed dmg = 0.2*a*b*(a*b+1)* 20^2/10^2 Area dmg
radius: 20 yards

Roughly speaking, it is equal to at leat 300% Area dmg. So, the area dmg on weapons, rings, gloves no longer as important as others.

2. The proc chance for Barbarian's skills do not affect the bloodshed dmg.
(Compare with bloodshed in 2.6, we have an skills proc coefficient multiplier).
As a consequence of this, WWs, EQs, SS, ....just try not push hard(....you know what happens.)

I test the cleave, frenzy, HotA, EQ, the dmg are exactly the total crit hits*0.2.

Finally, I don't know whether the devs will “nerf” the bloodshed(I mean to add proc coefficient in the calculation). But I really hope, if they gonna "cold fix" it, they need to buff the numbers for EQs, WWs ... again.

Hey guys!

Thanks for all the great discussion. I wanted to give you all a heads up that in the next PTR patch (currently scheduled for next Tuesday, subject to change), we're fixing an issue with Battle Rage: Bloodshed where its damage was not correctly scaling with the proc coefficient of the skill that was proccing the crit. We're also going to test increasing the IK6 damage bonus to 1500% and increasing the damage reduction from Band of Might to 60-80%. We'll continue to monitor all of the Barbarian's builds on PTR and make changes accordingly after these changes go live on the PTR. Please remember that this is the PTR and things are subject to change before things go to our Live servers.

Unfortunately we weren't able to include these changes in this week's PTR patch. The way our patch process works, sometimes changes just don't make the cutoff date. We hope you guys understand. Thanks again!

Thank you for stepping by!

Within next 24 hours on ptr feedback forum there will be a thread with detailed brakedown of things we desperately need you to look on. As you may know, many of us are devoted barbs with somewhat decent grip on this game mechanics and calculations, and we have been very active for past year reporting changes we would love to see to help Barbarian class achieve optimal level of power while maintaining build diversity.

If your IK buff is aimed at helping Hammer of The Ancient - as it should - we firmly believe that this fix should come in a way of another, separate multiplier, because we keep builds like IK Whirlwind and Raekors Hybrids in the back of our head.

Therefore, we would love you to look on our mighty weapon section - that at most part it totally useless - and see if some easy itemization couldn't be implanted on those.

Quick examples:

- Remoseless - Hammer of The Ancient has a 30% chance to summon additional Ancients (3 additional), and deals 50-75% increased damage per every Ancient active

- Madawc Sorrow - you deal 200% increased damage to bleeding enemies

I can go on and on on those items, as is, we as a class are underitemized, we have only 1 class specific ring, one shoulder, none of legendary mighty weapons holds usable affixes, and only 2 of our mighty belts provide some usefulness.

Thank you for stopping by and getting in touch with us! It is highly appreciated and desired, especially during PTR testing phase.

Cheers!

Thanks for your input, S4v4G3. We're reviewing our options for making HotA better without buffing IK6 due to the reasons you listed. We probably won't be going to live to the PTR next week with the 1500% damage buff, but whatever we choose to do, it should make next week's PTR. Great discussion, guys.
