Ok, so here's the thing-
where's the lore???
I'm comparing D3 to..I know you hate it when I do this..but to another great game that has so many books in it that I've literally spent HOURS just READING the damn books, and ignored the quests entirely-
When someone raises the bar, I think a competing game has to either exceed the previous record, or change things around so much that the previous record holder is left looking like a dolt-
And at this point, the story element is far, FAR more lacking than I can believe. Say you make a new character-what the heck is he/she doing in New Tristram? How does he know about the star? What is his motive? What prophecy is the wizard talking about, and how did the wizard hear about that prophecy in the first place?
There is no setup of motives for the characters in game. Either you have read the D3 internet pages and know it, or you don't.
Add more elements please-I have found books from various people in game, and have enjoyed what they have given-more would be better, even if it has no direct consequence in game. Perhaps have a UI option for viewing monster types encountered, what their vulnerabilities are etc-something akin to the Witcher 2..just some variety to the boring old gameplay plz.
thanks

Each character you make will begin the game with a cinematic explaining exactly those things.
