Most embarrassing mistake in D3, you first

I'll tell you mine after 5-10 stories. WHAT in gear/play/build did you screw up SO completely it made you want to head bang the keyboard.

Here's mine... I FINALLY got a good ancient Suwong Diviner drop about a week ago. At the same time I was upgrading gems and other gears so gems were flying all over the place. Well, in my foolish haste I put a flawless royal TOPAZ in my brand new 2 hander. The past WEEK I couldn't figure out why I was just barely making G55 with my WD!! Drove me nuts. So a couple days ago I got ANOTHER Suwung drop. I checked the stats and it was _25%_ DPS IMPROVEMENT!! I WAS ELATED!!

To my HORROR, I finally realized what my stupid, overtired, overplayed, idiot self had done.

I ALT-F4'd for the night, woke up and did my first 60, first try.

LESSON: don't do major changes while on 3 hours of sleep at 4:00 in the morning, you will LIKELY screw something up royally!!!

I'm still kicking myself for this one. I found my very first Furnace last week, and it was Ancient to boot! This was going to be great, I have a Ramaladni's Gift in my stash, I'm going to trick it out, and things are going to explode!

At the time, I was using a decently rolled Ancient Devastator along with an Ancient Triumvirate that was pretty darn good looking. I got so excited about using the Furnace that I extracted my Ancient Triumvirate instead of a regular one.

Still get sad when I'm experimenting and equipping the power, and while I've found many a Triumvirate since, none have been Ancient. :(
