Items from Salvaging - Tooth and Bark

I usually salvage everything I get unless they are like 1000x better than what I have. While salvaging the lowest grade of salvagable Item I get the odd tooth, and when salvaging the odd rare I get a crystalized bark.

Wondering now, should this be like this? Since when you scroll over the tooth it says "Obtainable from salvaging rare items" and when you scroll over the bark it says "Obtainable from salvaging legendary items".. Yet I know I haven't salvaged any legendary item nor have I even come across a Legendary item.
