Changed title from P1100? to How to Run Crypt Efficiently.

Dear CM, really appreciate if you have an answer for this.
After getting to paragon 1000, I basically have nothing left to do with the game while waiting for RoS to go live. The question is if I delete 1 of my P100 character and start leveling up another new one, when RoS goes live, will I be able to reinstate my deleted character since we will be given 12 slots and my shared Paragon will be based 11 Characters with P100?

A. How far can you make it before RoS goes live?

Paragon Table link from http://diablo.somepage.com/

Another 67 days to go before RoS goes live. How far can you achieve in term of paragon level? Assuming you have 2 hours game time everyday for 7 days a week, total game time available until RoS goes live will be 134 hours.
5 Crypt run Channels daily. You will be able to get 80 million XP per crypt run, 3 runs per hour and total 240 million XP per hour with an average geared character running MP10 crypt run with a group of 4 players. Total XP gained in 134hours is 32,160,000,000 XP. This will be 3 x P100.

Number of p100 heroes in 1.0.8.......... Accountwide paragon in RoS
1 ..............................................................129
2 ..............................................................165
3 ..............................................................191
4 ..............................................................213
5 ..............................................................232
6 ..............................................................250
7 ..............................................................265
8 ..............................................................280
9 ..............................................................294
10 ............................................................307

With 3 x P100, you will be at Paragon 191 and 191 points to spend on your characters. Not too bad but I personally would prefer to have at least 250 points prior to the launch.

B. How to run Crypt Efficiently MP10

1. You need to have more friends with the same objective. You friend list will grow the more you do crypt runs. When you log in, first thing to do is to ask your online friends for crypt channels which you are invited to join up to maximum of 5 channels. So, if you have more friends, chances are you will get those channels easily. If possible, do not log off from game unless necessary. I normally keep my PC online overnight.

2. You need to have at least one character that can help to prepare for the run. Chances are you may not be invited to any games if you don’t have one. The common characters are WW Barb, TR Monk and Locust WD. I have tried all classes and I finally like WD because it can really pack the crypt, second to none. I felt Barb and Monk move too fast and sometimes do not proc the Mother zombies. WD with Locust is the best to proc the zombies and coupled with Odyn Son, it is just too good. This is my profile. Pay attention to the gears I used especially the weapon. Not saying it is the best but ranked pretty high up (EHP ranked 36).

3. You need to know where to look for the crypt in the Field of Misery. I provide here with the maps, and after some practice, you should be able to find them quite easily. (secret is explained in Game play section below)

Note: If you see Old Man (chest event) or a non-accessible small pond, quit game and remake. The way points are fixed at 4 different locations.

4. You need to gear up your main character for Paragoning which you switch to after preparation. Currently, in group play of 4, the most popular character to be invited to any games are Pull Monk, Locust WD and Archon Wiz, not disputing that 3 barbs and a WD set up will give you the best XP per hour but it is not easy to arrange. I personally recorded highest record of above 400 mil XP per hr running Rend Barb with this group set up

Monk
You may be able to gear this character quite easily without huge investment. You mainly act as a supporting toon by providing damage buff to team members and pull all the zombies together for faster kill speed. Exploding Palm also play a very big part. You may also gear for zero DPS monk with such weapon. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/sledge-fist
Skills to use are mainly these and of course you may tweak it to suit your play style. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#WfVSdi!cbU!bZcYbZ

Witch Doctor
Even though my main is DH but I love playing WD for it damage output. WD is needed for Locust Swarm Pestilence to proc more zombies and pulling them towards the group. Cloud of Bat is too awesome taking down elites and zombies when paired with Pull Monk and it Exploding Palm. Zombies will explode and deal more damge to the rest. BBV buff is just too overpowered and cool down could be reduced quite quickly with Grave Injustice. You need to gear your WD to above 200k DPS in order to run MP10 efficiently. I suggest you craft a good HF ring for better XP gain. There are no fixed rules to gear you WD and you can either go for Skorn or 1H. Important thing is you must be able to sustain mana for channeling CoB.
Skills to use are basically these and you may tweak to suit your play style. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#hQUdcj!YTc!abaacY

Wizard
Wizard is preferred because of its massive dps and attack speed with the laser beam. It can basically kill any stray zombies with its perma Archon set up. A 400k glass cannon Archon will be quite efficient in MP10. The common gearing for Archon is Tal Rasha amulet, Triumvirate source, Zuni boots for the black weapon i.e. rare sword to take advantage of.

Why these 3 characters? It provides excellent group skill synergy to be able to clear the contents more efficiently. Try to have all these 3 characters in your group and the 4th character can be of any with reasonable dps.

C. Actual Game Play

Go to Field of Misery Way Point. There are four fixed Way Point location that will spawn in FoM (refer to earlier maps). Many players have difficulties identifying which way point has been spawn. Let me tell you a simple secret how this can be resolved with ease. Once you teleport to the FoM WP, press tab button and it will show you FoM unexplored map. You will also see 2 more WP, one at the North East (Drowned Temple WP) and another one at the South East (Cemetery of Forsaken WP). If the FoM WP is located more to the north and nearer to Drowned Temple WP, it means you got the north WP spawned. If it is located more to the bottom, nearer to Cemetery WP, then the bottom WP has been spawned. Pay attention to the distance between the WPs. The other 2 WP are simply nearer or further to left of both Drowned and Cemetery WP. After a few practice, you will scream, why didn’t I learned this earlier. After knowing which WP has spawned, it is a piece of cake to locate the Crypt by referring to the maps. The crypt always either spawn at the North East or South West of FoM map. If you come across Old Man (Chest Event) or a small non-accessible pond, quit game and remake.

Once you enter the crypt, start broadcasting on the 5 channels to invite players to join your game. Ask them to PM their class and DPS. Choice is up to you now. You can start moving to Crypt Level 2 while players starting to join in. Make sure you tell them what to do to prepare for the run.
Preparation shall not be longer than 5 min. Get 3 players to prepare the crypt and another person to prepare FoM. Each player only needs to go through the crypt 2-3 times i.e. from entrance to level 2, back to entrance . By this time, FoM shall be ready. For FoM, depending on how lag is your game, you may pull all the mobs to the left and right of the crypt entrance. If it is too lag, you may want to pull them near to the bridge and also the hill where you can access from Cemetery WP and Drowned WP. Remember at least one of the players shall save the portal to Crypt level 2, after switching to the Paragoning characters.

All 4 players proceed to Festering woods to get 3 NV from WR, COTA and the woods. This may take 3-5 min. Then use the saved portal to get to Crypt Level 2. Open the chest (Player still not in crypt can still get the NV) and complete the Family event. Make sure to kill the Mother 1st because it has frozen abilities. Proceed to kill all the zombies and skip the elites unless its presence hinders your progress. Dashing Pull Monk and Locust WD always move in-front of the team. Kill all the pulled mobs at FoM and the full run shall not be more than 20 min depending on how good is the team. You should be able to get 80-100 mil XP per run, voila 240 mil XP per four.

Some people like to do Weeping Hollow as well because it give a lot of XP but I don’t encourage it because it is not time efficient with preparation involved.

Try to complete the above run in 20 min and you will be good to achieve 240mil XP per hour.
Good Luck with your crypt run.

As we cannot guarantee that a character can be restored, it would be best to avoid deleting any characters whose Paragon level/experience contribution you wish to carry over into Reaper of Souls.
