How are we supposed to build a character now?

If I have to rely on finding all of my drops, what are the odds of me actually being able to play a super fun but incredibly gear-dependent build like zero dogs?

These changes seem intended to destroy the game.

Currently, a lot of gear affixes can be obtained through multiple means, and that should make specific benchmarks easier to obtain. In the 0 dog example, you'd be able to use Enchanting to obtain cooldown reduction affixes on gear that it's missing from, and/or add a Diamond to your helm socket.

Also, the addition of a large variety of Legendary affixes brought in by Loot 2.0 adds a dynamic element to character builds that I think a lot of players will find very interesting. Players are likely to adapt their characters as they find new loot, and the result is more engaging.

Ultimately, we'll just have to wait and see to find out more. We're definitely going to keep an eye on things, and make adjustments as needed.
