Grey items from bosses?

I'm playing the PS3 UEE, and I keep getting these grey items from bosses. They all all have some flavor text and say they are used by the blacksmith to make a legendary item or set. But It's just a junk grey item that goes i to the potions bag.

Example: Lyekurn's Diary - Used by the blacksmith to craft the legendary item, Corruption. (dropped from azmodan)

What's the deal with these?

What's the deal with these?

These items were once used as a crafting resource with the Blacksmith, but some changes made to that system resulted in these items no longer having a use. They still drop from certain monsters, but you should feel free to sell them to a vendor for a hefty sum of gold.
