The world of Sanctuary is a BIG place, defended by hundreds of thousands of heroes each and every day. To help you get to know some of these fellow nephalem a little better, we've created the Fresh Meat N' Greet.

The Fresh Meet N' Greet is a recurring series of interviews featuring you, our community. A few times each month, we'll sit down and chat with six different community members, one for each class, and then post our Q&As right here in these forums.

Up this week for Monks: TheGhost#1761

Read on below to find out more about your fellow ally in battle!

[GENERAL INFO]

Grimiku: What would you like to tell us about yourself?

TheGhost#1761: Well, I am in my early twenties and enjoy playing a multitude of PC games. Just recently got back into Diablo for season 3 and have been enjoying myself after a long break. I also like long walks on the beach, destroying freshly made sand castles, and sticking it to the man.

Grimiku: Got any cool hobbies or talents?

TheGhost#1761: No. I am a PC gamer. That means I am a hermit. Duh.

Grimiku: What’s your history as a gamer, and with the Diablo franchise?

TheGhost#1761: Well I started playing PC games when I was super young. My first game was Command and Conquer Red Alert when I was like five years old. I dabble in console games every now and then, but I will always be a PC gamer at heart. My first Blizzard game was the original Starcraft which set me off on a dark path that ruined my social life forever. Thanks Blizz. As for Diablo, I actually didn't play any of the former games before D3. This one was my first and I haven't even logged that ma ny hours into the game. I am more of an RTS kind of guy, as you can tell. But I really love the monk class. I have tried switching to a DH and a Crusader, but I always come back.

Grimiku: What are some of your favorite games?

TheGhost#1761: Hm... I really enjoy the Starcraft universe and franchise as a whole, although I am really waiting for LotV to come out. Definitely a LoL player. I also play a lot of Team Fortress and Counter Strike.

Grimiku: Do you play any other classes?

TheGhost#1761: I just tried leveling a Crusader but I didn't have nearly as much fun as I do when I play my monk so I switched back. FunkMastuh for life.

Grimiku: Are you in a great clan or community? If yes, tell us about them!

TheGhost#1761: To be honest I don't know. Haha I think one of my buddies invited me into my current one.

Grimiku: What's your most embarrassing moment while playing?

TheGhost#1761: Starting a GR54 with my zDPS support gear but forgetting to switch out my talents and paragons. It did not go over well.

Grimiku: Okay, what about your most AWESOME moment while playing?

TheGhost#1761: Getting two Vaults in a row on the same bounty run. It was my second day as level 70 this season and practically got my entire R6 set.

[FEEL THE WRATH OF YTAR]

Grimiku: What drew you to the Monk?

TheGhost#1761: I got tired of a demon hunter and since I already had all Dex gear, I was all "Why not Monk?" I am glad that I did, though. I don't think I will ever play another class seriously again.

Grimiku: What's your favorite skill (or skill rune), and why?

TheGhost#1761: Sweeping Wind - Cyclone. I used to love this talent in vanilla. I was actually hoping that the remake of 1KStorms would be centered around Sweeping Wind. Although I really love Dashing Strike, I feel that the hit box is really small and it doesn't have the same potential as a Waste Barb or a multishot DH who just face rolls and does twice the DPS a monk can do.

Grimiku: What build are you running currently?

TheGhost#1761: I am switching between the typical Cookie Cutter R6 build and a zDPS build of my own design. Details of my lockdown/support build can be found here:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/17083998988

Grimiku: Is there a particular item you’re after, and how would you change your build if you found it?

TheGhost#1761: Nothing in particular, no. I am trying to find out what I can do to improve my current zDPS build. Any suggestions in the above mentioned thread would be appreciated. =]

Grimiku: If you could build a supporting set or Legendary item around a skill, what skill would it be and how would you support it?

TheGhost#1761: Like I said, a set built around Sweeping wind would be particularly cool for me just cause it brings back memories of my lightning monk in vanilla. RIP

Grimiku: If there was one thing you could change about this class, what would it be?

TheGhost#1761: Our toughness. I think it is probably our number one problem and most people tend to agree with that. Has been since 2.0.

Grimiku: What’s your favorite Monk quote, and why?

TheGhost#1761: "The storm breaks!" and no particular reason.

Grimiku: Name one piece of advice that you think every Monk should know.

TheGhost#1761: Always bring a DH to the group. ALWAYS.

[WHO'S NEXT?]

Grimiku: Which of your fellow Monks should we also interview?

TheGhost#1761: I don't know. I think we should have some sort of battle royal for the next spot.

Grimiku: What’s another question you’d like to see in these interviews?

TheGhost#1761: If you could choose one ability from Diablo to use in real life, what would it be?

Grimiku: What would you buy if you were rewarded for this interview with a gift card for your local butcher? (This question was inspired by this thread: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/17084929121)

TheGhost#1761: Obviously, a poorly formatted word document. lol
Nah, I would definitely stock up on brisket. Summer is coming and I plan on smoking a ton of meat.
