The world of Sanctuary is a BIG place, defended by hundreds of thousands of heroes each and every day. To help you get to know some of these fellow nephalem a little better, we've created the Fresh Meat N' Greet.

The Fresh Meet N' Greet is a recurring series of interviews featuring you, our community. A few times each month, we'll sit down and chat with six different community members, one for each class, and then post our Q&As right here in these forums.

Up this week for Demon Hunters: Junger#1623

Read on below to find out more about your fellow ally in battle!

[GENERAL INFO]

Grimiku: Tell us a bit about yourself.

Junger#1623: I’m a 38 year old, married (so sorry ladies) father of two boys that are 3 and 5 years old. I live and work in the DC metro area, but would gladly move to the west coast as soon as my wife gives me the green light. I’m a CPA by day, but a monster killing demon hunter at night, Monday through Fridays from 9PM to about 1AM.

Grimiku: Got any cool hobbies or talents?

Junger#1623: I spend my free time golfing, fishing, and of course playing video games.

Grimiku: What’s your history like as a gamer, and with the Diablo series?

Junger#1623: I grew up in the 80’s and my first system was the Atari 2600 where I dominated Pitfall, River Raid, Joust, and the like. Then my parents made the mistake of getting me the NES, where I took my gaming skills to another level with Excite Bike, Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros, etc. From there I continued to upgrade systems, SNES, N64, PS2, until I started PC gaming in college when Doom and Quake made me miss a lot of class time. My brother got me into the Diablo franchise with Diablo 2, and the rest is history.

Grimiku: What some of your other favorite games and why?

Junger#1623: I played World of Warcraft for a long time, from release to when Mists of Pandaria was released. That was my first experience with MMO’s and really connecting with a bunch of strangers over voice communication. I have a lot of fond memories of farming for gear, world PvP, and hours of wiping with 39 other people. I truly felt immersed in WoW, but that’s also why I had to give it up.

Grimiku: Do you play any other classes?

Junger#1623: I played as a Wizard almost exclusively before eras and seasons as CM/SNS, then FB6. I also played a pet Witch Doctor, but now primarily as zDPS. I also play a Barbarian mostly for speed runs now.

Grimiku: Are you in a great clan or community? If yes, tell us about them!

Junger#1623: I’m an officer in <Viz> Vizjerei. Our clan started as just a bunch of like-minded individuals that played Wizard and frequented the official wizard forum. However, our clan is not just for Wizards, since the game has evolved so much for eras and seasonal leaderboards. Please come check us out! http://www.vizjereiclan.com/

I’m also the leader of the Junger Rules Community. You may have heard of the Junger Rules, but in case you haven’t, here is a summary of what was once a hotly debated topic. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/12675389719

PS: Thanks Blizzard for nerfing my community when you upped the cache rate to 100%...

Grimiku: What's your most embarrassing moment while playing?

Junger#1623: Honestly, I haven’t had any memorable embarrassing moments while playing Diablo 3. But, I have learned to control my gaming environment after years of playing World of Warcraft, and applied what I’ve learned to playing Diablo 3. What I mean by controlling my gaming environment is, I don’t log in to play and don’t log into our clan Mumble server until my domestic obligations are fulfilled. That typically involves putting the kids to bed, cleaning up dinner, and chatting or watching a sitcom with the wife. I learned the hard way back in WoW, when I used voice activation for chatting and one night the Missus was on a rampage, but I had a raid schedule to keep so I logged in. Big mistake…I had forgotten to do something or another, and my whole guild heard our conversation and one of the last things she said is “you’re sleeping on the couch tonight.” After that, whenever we raided late, the guild would say its fine because I can just sleep on the couch or something to that effect. Anyways, to help future husbands manage their gaming habit, I developed some Junger’s Other Rules, and hopefully they will be useful to someone one day.

Grimiku: Okay, what about your most AWESOME moment while playing?

Junger#1623: My most awesome moment was when I gambled a Starmetal Kukri back in the day. After weeks of grinding for one, right before I was about go to bed one night around 1AM, I gambled SMK, with a socket, max int, and max crit damage. It was basically perfect after I rolled up the damage. I had planned to go to bed at 1AM, but I ended up staying up until 4AM.

[VENGEANCE IS MINE]

Grimiku: What drew you to the Demon Hunter?

Junger#1623: Female Demon Hunter character model, need I say more? Just kidding, but not really. I played a lot of Bowazon in Diablo 2, so I naturally was inclined to play Demon Hunter as well.

Grimiku: How do you prefer to exact vengeance? Do you trap your prey with sentries and snares, or eliminate them from just out of reach with well-placed arrows?

Junger#1623: I think I prefer the latter. I prefer a more active play-style with the Demon Hunter.

Grimiku: What's your favorite skill (or skill rune), and why?

Junger#1623: Entangling Shot, I love the chain animation.

Grimiku: What build are you running currently?

Junger#1623: I run UE Ball Lightning in higher greater rifts and trials, and N6 in most other situations.

Grimiku: If there was one thing you could change about the Demon Hunter, what would it be?

Junger#1623: This is a tough question; the Demon Hunter has come a long way since the Trail of Cinder, Rapid Fire/DML days. I think synergy between set pieces, passives and items are amazing for Demon Hunters since M6 was introduced and now UE and N6. But the one thing I would change is making Cloaks have a unique property that set it apart from chests, other than just being allowed to roll discipline. But this also goes for all other classes and their unique item slots. They should be meaningful, like they were in D3V, in my opinion.

Grimiku: What’s the next (or most interesting) item you’re currently after, and why are you after it?

Junger#1623: Well, I have an Ancient Kridershot, but I’d like to get a similar one with 7IAS on it because I want to hit some higher breakpoints.

Grimiku: If you could make a set to support one skill, what would it support and how?

Junger#1623: You know, all the other classes have abilities that group up mobs. It would be nice if we had a 2 piece bonus somewhere that let an ability like Marked for Death – Valley of Death pull mobs into a specific area for 3 seconds, like Piranhado or Black Hole does for the Witch Doctors and Wizards, respectively.

Grimiku: Pick a Demon Hunter quote!

Junger#1623: “Do you want more?”

Grimiku: Name one piece of advice that you think every Demon Hunter should know.

Junger#1623: How much DPS do you do when you’re dead? Zero. Learn to survive sticky situations, and don’t tunnel vision and then die to something that’s avoidable.

[WHO'S NEXT?]

Grimiku: Which Demon Hunter should we interview next?

Junger#1623: Wearelasers#1570

Grimiku: Pick a question to ask in the next interview!

Junger#1623: What passive do you think is the most useless, and how would you change it?

Grimiku: DiEoxidE#1987: What is your favorite boss fight and why?

Junger#1623: I’d have to say Perendi. He’s a good mix where his damage is avoidable if you’re paying attention, he summons adds that you have to manage, and he is just silly huge.
