finding plans

does anyone have any tips for finding plans?

just plans in general, not just legendary ones, but even the simple + number of magic properties.

i know that rifts are good for legendary items/plans

i have been finding more general plans in hard difficulty during the campaign

As Babymaker mentioned, you're more likely to find crafting plans (especially Legendary and Set crafting plans) as you play in higher difficulty levels. As with all rare items in the game, you'll have to be lucky to find one, but it's absolutely possible.
