Error 300006 when creating a HC character

Steps to reproduce:


  • I leveled a barbarian character from 9 to 10
  • Left the game
  • Navigated to the character creation screen
  • Selected Monk, and switched to hardcore.
  • Agreed at the warning dialog.
  • Was shown a dialog with "Error 300006"

Was it a new character, or a Barbarian that was already level 9? As of right now, you need to level brand new characters to 10.

Obviously this won't be a problem at launch because no one will have characters.
