Update: Due to some additional fixes going into beta patch 15, we will indeed be performing a character wipe. Please note that this wipe will also affect gold, items, achievements, auctions, followers, and artisans.

We will bringing the Diablo III test servers down for maintenance at approximately 10:00 a.m. PDT tomorrow morning for database updates and to launch the next beta patch. We anticipate that maintenance will conclude at approximately 10:00 p.m. PDT on Friday, March 16.

While we are not planning to wipe characters with this patch, we will be resetting all auctions on both the gold and currency-based auction houses. If any changes are made during maintenance (or before then) that may require a character wipe, we'll be sure to provide an update in this thread.

Thank you for your patience! As always, patch notes will be posted here once the patch is live.

There're still undergoing maintenance, and 10:00 pm PDT is still our ETA. Once servers are back up, I'll definitely post an update in this thread (in both the OP and as a reply). Breaking News should also be updated at that time, as well.

they need to update the maintenance time if its still down. its 15 min past when it was supposed to be done. usually they update it BEFORE its time so we know it will take additional time.

We were technically live at 10:00 pm on the dot (yay), but we noticed that players were having issues logging in, either receiving an error message at login or being promptly disconnected from the server (boo).

I've gone ahead and updated the OP, and Breaking News should also be seeing an update shortly. :)

some... or all? it doesnt even begin to load or anything just says the server is still down. lulz

Currently it's all, since we've brought the test servers back offline to address the login/crash issues we were seeing (and that you were reporting).

We've got top men working to resolve those issues as we speak.

In all seriousness, though, we're continuing to investigate the connection/login issues which began affecting players shortly after Beta Patch 15 went live. We've still no ETA at this time, but I'll be here providing updates until the beta is back up. :)

We're still working to test and resolve the issues we encountered after deploying Beta Patch 15. This can be a tedious process without a lot of visual progress, so I may not have many concrete updates for you besides "hey, we're still here!" until everything is back up and running.

Seriously how long will this take ? this is just wrong.

If this kind of stuff is going to happen in the full game I'm not gonna buy it, This is an absolute disgrace. I'm happy now that i didn't pre-ordered yet.

This is one of the many reasons why a beta can be helpful. For every patch we deploy, we're able to fine tune our processes and identify what works, what doesn't, and where we can improve so situations like this don't occur (or occur with incredible rarity) once the game ships.

Downtime is never ideal, though, even during the beta. We understand that, which is why we're working to get you all back in the game, hacking and slashing at every damned soul in sight, as soon as possible.

Just wanted to stop in to let you all know that we're still here, reading your posts and working to resolve ongoing issues with the beta. We're not at a point where we can provide an ETA, but either myself or one of my colleagues will post an update should that change at any point.

In the meantime, thank you for your patience, and for keeping this thread constructive. We're looking forward to joining you all in the beta as soon as possible.
