EDIT: Review of the Xbox One version by TotalXbox.com: http://www.totalxbox.com/80255/reviews/xbox-one-diablo-3-reaper-of-souls-ultimate-evil-edition-review-review/

Folks are asking a lot of good questions and repeating a lot of those questions over and over. So to help out, I took some time to compile what we know and what we would like to know into one thread I plan to keep updated.

What is the release date?
August 19th

What Consoles will it be on?
Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, and Xbox One

How much will it cost?
$60 for PS4 and XB1 and $40 for PS3 and XB360

Do I need the original Diablo III to play? Can I just buy Reaper of Souls as DLC or something?
No and no. Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition is a stand alone product that includes both the Base Diablo III and the Reaper of Souls expansion. It is the only way to get RoS on PS3 and 360, and the only way to get D3 and RoS on PS4 and XBO.

Can I import my characters and stash from my 360 or PS3?
Yes, and you can cross console families in the process! No PC to console though. (source #6 below) The import from last Gen to Current Gen will be some method via a Day one patch. (Thanks GenKenobi)
Details and instructions for importing and Battle.net linking as well as rewards and an FAQ: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/15058023/

What about online cross platform play? (360 with PS4, PC with XBO, etc.)
Nope.

Will there be digital pre-loads?
Playstation seems to be offering this.

Any pre-order bonuses?
The "Infernal Pauldrons". Level 1 equip-able shoulders with +Vitality, Life per second, and Cooldown Reduction.
EDIT: "Pre-ordering will also provide you with the Spectral Hound minion and Reaper of Souls-themed transmog plans (which include three helm appearances and seven weapon appearances) These were PC pre-order bonuses being added to Console pre-order bonuses." - Source #1 at the bottom of the post.

Console specific bonuses?
Playstation players will be getting a Last of Us themed Nephalim Rift and a Shadow of the Colossus themed Transmog set.

What Patch Version will console players see at release?
The Console FAQ linked below currently reads: "Ultimate Evil Edition includes all the features and updates introduced in Reaper of Souls expansion on PC up to patch 2.0.4"
Community Manager Grimiku posted: ...That said, I can confirm that UEE will ship on all platforms with all updates included up to patch 2.0.5, and that there will likely be a “Day 1” patch to add in patch 2.0.6 content, too. (Source #4 below)
Patch support has been confirmed for PS4 and XBO "shortly after PC" patches. 360 and PS3 will get the day one patch and likely nothing else.

Will the recent "Anniversary" Legendary drop rate increase that is now permanet on PC appear in UEE?
Yes!
The most pressing question I had was regarding the new and improved Legendary drop rate on PC. Blizzard confirmed that the Console drop rate would be the same as the now-permanent Anniversary drop rate on PC, which should be exciting news for literally anybody planning to play the console release.
(Source #2 below)

Besides the current PC/Console difference, what other differences can we expect?
  • Apprentice Mode: A new game mode, which boosts low-level players’ power while adventuring with high-level friends
  • In-game mail system and Player Gifts: Sharing treasures with other players on your friends list has never been easier!
  • Nemesis System: If a monster defeats you, it has a chance of invading the games of players in your friends list! Nemesis monsters that originate in a friend's game may also invade your own game.
  • Improved same screen co-op loot system:
The Loot system has been improved once again. When playing local co-op, each item that drops is tagged for P1, P2, etc. Any player can pick it up, but it goes directly to its owner's inventory. If you've played a ranged class alongside a melee class in local co-op, you know how annoying it can be for the melee to pick up everything, and then have to redistribute the items. This change is bound to alleviate a lot of inventory management time in co-op, which is certainly welcome.
    (Source #2 below).
Is Battle.net tied to this in any way or is that just a PC player thing?
You don't need a Battle.net account, but "... owners of Ultimate Evil Edition will be able to link their console network accounts with Battle.net, which will grant them legendary rewards and bonuses!"

What resolution and FPS are we looking at on PS4 and XBO?
Originally reported as 1080p on PS4 and 900p on XBO, now updated to 1080p on both. Both will be 60 FPS as well. Xbox One users will need to apply a day one patch to get uip to 1080p.

Will the PS4 and XBO have PC Level mob density?
During the gamespot Q&A video, they mention that they didn't need to decrease the mob density for PS4 and Xbox One. I assume this means they did on 360 and PS3. (Which is kind of expected)

Will previous DLC like the Infernal Helm and the Angelic Wings be carried forward for those who have it, everyone gets it, or it won't be present at all?
    07/08/2014 05:52 PMPosted by Grimiku
The Xbox 360, and PS3 preorder items will carry over to UEE on Xbox 360/Xbox One, and PS3/PS4 respectively. These items include the Infernal Helm, Angelic Wings, Bottled Cloud Dye, and Bottled Smoke Dye.

The PS3-exclusive in-game items work slightly differently. They'll carry over to UEE on PS3/PS4 as well, but will require players to connect to the internet to do so. For clarity, these items include: The Hero's Journey, Drake's Amulet, Leoric's Gauntlents, Crimson Angelic Wings, and Leah's Ring.

Are there any security steps being taken for hacked and/or duped items?
Constraints for item ranges have been added, so at least you're not supposed to be able to hack outrageous items. Perfect rolls hacks would still be possible it seems.

Will there be ladders or anything like them?
    No ladders or seasons

Has the co-op inventory management/skill assignment interface been reworked, or can only one person look at these things at a time?
Still only one person in the inventory screen at a time, but loot is now "ear-marked" for the player it drops for. I.e. If a wizard and barb are playing same screen co-op, each loot drop will have a P1 or P2 next to it based on who the loot dropped for. Also, no matter who picks the loot up, it goes to the inventory of the player that it dropped for.

How will previously earned Achievements and Trophies work? Will players have to re-earn them, will they transfer along somehow (A check at game launch perhaps re-triggers them), or will there be all new ones specific to UEE?
All new achievements and trophies for UEE is the official word.

Will we be able to pre-order digital copies and receive the associated pre-order bonuses?
PS4 users seem to be able to do this now and also have digital pre-load.

Will there be a limit of 3 affixes max for monsters (This may be different between console generations)
Gameplay video from the PS4 showed 4 affixes

List of Frequently Asked Questions from this board that we don't have official answers to yet.
  • Regarding the character import, if I start playing RoS without importing anything, then decide to import my old characters and their Paragon levels, stash, etc. later on, will this work?
  • Will items on console feature the same range for affix values as PC or have higher possible values like in the PS3 360 versions? (Crit chance 10.5 and 11%)Anything that gets officially answered I will update with answers and source. Questions can also be added. If you see any errors, let me know and I will gladly correct them.
