Bug when buying gold

I went to purchase gold in the auction house, specifically about 20k worth, and bid 20 battlenet points on it. I checked my finished auctions screen to find nothing. Then, after entering and exiting a game, I see I've lost all the battlenet points I would have spent on the gold and am now goldless and without any battlenet points. It's worth noting I kept trying to purchase gold after I didn't receive any updates about the bid, so maybe that is a factor?

Side note: Any chance one of those two situations could be rectified? Thanks.
