I met some players in Season 7 that recently began using bots to farm gear and GR keys. When I asked about it they told me its not a bann-able action anymore, only in Germany. Is that true? If yes, it changes the entire game, and I should begin sticking to the new rules.

The use of third party applications is not, nor has ever been, permitted in Diablo III. Bans typically happen in waves.

Players violating our terms of service should expect account actions to be taken, and we generally don't provide warnings in such situations.
