97 Beta Bucks for 97,000 gold

I just attempted several purchases worth up to 97 beta bucks to try and buy 97,000 gold. I wanted to just do it to see what would happen. I have received no indication that I will be receiving this gold. Is this a bug?

1 beta buck = 1000 gold

I was going to use it to re invest in some crafting.

No big deal. I know its fake money. But I thought I would pitch this for someone to comment on.
