What is going on with your console servers?

This is too many days in a row of service outages with absolutely no communication. I understand that there is a very well hidden hint about the console service being broken for approximately another week over in the general discussion forum. This is completely unacceptable.

1)I paid just as much money as anyone who plays on PC for my copy of the game. Why do they get emergency patches and limited service while I get screwed? I deserve and am absolutely entitled to the exact same level of service and respect that any other paying customer gets. The fact that blizzard believes that this is ok is exactly the same mentality that got them sued for believing that their other discriminate behavior was ok.

2)at this point the issues go far beyond the normal “launch issues.” Anybody who is still condoning blizzard’s responses and “fixes” for what is still an ongoing problem needs to have a look at ye olde webster’s dictionary for the proper definition of the word “fixed.”

3)the console players at the very least should be credited at least half of their money back into their Xbox account (Or the equivalent there of on the other consoles) due to the service that was advertised being unavailable so often coupled with the blatantly clear stance from blizzard that we just don’t matter. Keep in mind that this credit is in addition to being able to keep the game.

As far as console players not being discriminated against, just open your eyes. No lobbies, no chat, no communication, no service, delayed patches, no clear game plan for when things will be fixed- or even looked at, no access to ALL of the D2R forums. I bought the same game as PC, but got banished to the corner. I just checked the Xbox store page, and nowhere does it state that this game will be single player only. It advertised 2-8 player online capabilities, and a month later we still don’t have them on a reliable basis. Were all of blizzard’s competent employees female and walked out due to the work environment? C’mon man. Get your act together.

On a positive note, Vicarious Visions did a great job with the game for console. When I can actually get on the server and play it is amazing and an almost flawless trip down memory lane. A darn shame that blizzard owns the IP

There was a PC patch on Friday that added in a queue visual onto the game while we started queueing players during high traffic windows.

We noted that consoles would have this within a week. It’s looking like it will be the first half once it gets through all the first party certifications. As of now, console is kind of flying blind and it unfortunately is leading to timeouts for users which knocks them into offline. There are moments where players are getting in as we have a team around the clock turning on the faucets for console players to feed online but they are difficult windows before the timeouts.

This weekend has led to an even more massive increase in players connecting into one specific region and is thus causing players to move to other regions and create queues there. Again, we have a team on this 24/7 and calls going on 24/7 as they work on troubleshooting and keeping things going with the databases.

It’s not ideal. I know as even I have had difficulty playing myself and I’m hoping we can have a further update for you all here soon. Again, apologies on this everyone.
